The PerfectPower SMT8Y is the
most advanced piggy back engine management system on the market to date. The
SMT8Y works with the existing Engine Control Unit (ECU) to provide the perfect
fuel and ignition for your engine, delivering maximum power, better fuel
consumption and enhanced engine response. The SMT8Y operates in synchronization
with the standard ECU to perfect the engine’s efficiency with its large 3
dimensional tune maps.
Our SMT8Y does not interfere with the vehicle’s original

features such as: more help, more detailed manuals, and a new feature called

will prompt you through a Step-by-Step installation process. Even with minimal
engine and electronic skills, you will have the basic installation complete in
no time. The SMT8Y can also do the more advanced requirements, such as Boost
control and Lambda tuning to mention a few. The SMT8Y has been years in the

HOW CAN FUEL ECONOMY AND POWER FIT ONTO ONE MAP?
Fuel Economy is typically
achieved on partial throttle and power typically on full throttle. When you
cruise you are using partial throttle and that is where the best fuel economy
is tuned. With a high density tune map and interpolation between each tune
site, the SMT8Y provides smooth liquid transitions between tune sites. Maximum
horsepower at full throttle and the best possible fuel consumption at cruising
can only be achieved with the SMT8 range of piggy back products.
HOW DOES THE SMT8Y DIFFER FROM OTHER "CHIPS"?
The SMT8Y is not a pre-programmed
or “take it or leave it”, kind of chip. It is a sophisticated device that can
customize each modification of every type of signal to or from the original
ECU, including ignition timing and fuel control. Every type of engine and each
model is different, almost like a unique fingerprint. Stamping out standard
chips will not give you the optimal performance that could be possible.

tuned in real time on the road by you or on the dyno by professional tune shops.
The software interface (LetRipp2) is very easy to use and is intuitive,
allowing you the simplest method to easy tuning.
MORE POWER - HOW MUCH DO I GET"?
This is a very difficult
question to answer. Every vehicle is
different, and as a result will behave differently too. As a rule of thumb, a
stock standard vehicle can sometimes get 5% to 11% more power with a well tuned
SMT8Y, while a Turbo or Supercharged engine could gain as much as 7% to 20%.
Turbocharged aftermarket performance modifications can easily achieve power
gains of 20% to 25% and more, depending on which modifications have been done.

Absolutely! The SMT8Y is your
