ECU - ENGINE CONTROL UNIT

The ECU is one of our older Stand Alone units. It is no longer in production, but for the benefit of our customers who still use these units, we provide the list of features, wiring diagrams and software downloads below.

An entry level product for easy fuel and ignition control, very easy to program, very small. The Engine Controller Unit (ECU) was developed after the Micro Injection Control (MIC) because the market required an engine management device, which was easy, cost effective and reliable.

The ECU is therefore well suited for the cost conscious engine modifier, and for the first time installation. This includes racing and performance engines. The unit is ideally suited for carburetor replacement, where some convenient features are not required.

The unit works with 4,6 or 8 cylinder engines. Multiple coils are not supported. The injectors are limited to 16 ohms. Injectors with 4-8 ohms can be supported with extra cooling of the unit. Multiple trigger inputs per firing are not supported.

	Supply : 6-15V 50ma. Wrong polarity protected. Overvoltage protected
	Size : 125 X 75 X 25
	Trigger input: Min 0.4V peak. Limited protected. Max. input: 24VDC continuous
	Throttle input: 0-5V. Offset and gain calibrated. Requires external voltage.
	Engine Temperature input : Optional for display only
	Absolute manifold pressure : Internal. 0.2 to 2.5 bar. 4 mm connection
	Injector output: 2 drives. Current limited to 4A initially. Reduced to holding current 1A voltage protected.
	Fuel pump relay output : 100ma drive
	LED indication output : 5mA drive to ground.
	Ignition output drive: 12V output swing. Ground signal -> coil current. Max drive 30ma
	RS232 connection: GND, TX, RX. 19200 Baud, 8 bits
	Temperature range: - 10 to + 60 degrees C operating
