MIC - MICRO INJECTION CONTROLLER

Applications

The MIC is one of our older Stand Alone units. It is no longer in production, but for the benefit of our customers who still use these units, we provide the list of features, wiring diagrams and software downloads below.

The MIC3 is a self-supporting engine management system for DIY and professionals alike. Its application is universal to all petrol engines, where more power or better fuel utilization is required. The unit is ideal for modified engines which require precise control over fuel and ignition.

The MIC3 provides fuel injection and ignition mapping on 4,6,8 cylinder cars for normal aspirated, turbo charged or supercharged engines. It gives complete control over all engine operating conditions for DIY's and professional's. The tuning can be done in near real-time while the car is in motion via a laptop PC. The engines operating map is graphically displayed to allow fast and easy tuning.
  • Rotary (13B) engines
  • Upgrading of carburetor systems
  • Upgrading to wasted spark ignition systems
  • Turbo or supercharged engines
  • Racing
  • Replacing obsolete or expensive fuel injection    systems
  • Where total engine control is required
  • 4x4 vehicles

The injector open time is computed for every firing pickup according to the throttle position, RPM, and absolute manifold pressure. It is compensated for engine temperature, air temperature and acceleration variables. The ignition output is computed from the firing position, the rpm and the absolute manifold pressure, compensated for engine temperature. The MIC holds two completely independent tuning maps, which can be selected from an optional dashboard switch, while driving. An optional dashboard input allows the manual retarding of the complete ignition map. The unit drives 2 independent banks of injectors. The default current limit per bank is 4  amp. The MIC has 4 ignition outputs, which can be used in many configurations, only some of which are shown: The MIC works with 4,6,8 cylinder cars as well as two stage rotary engines.
