The RevGuard unit is one of our older Piggy Back units. It is no longer in production, but for the benefit of our customers who still use these units, we provide the list of features, wiring diagrams and software downloads below.

RevGuard has two circuits which can be programmed to normally open and normally closed in order to stop ignition, or stop firing or do anything else which may be required.

APPLICATIONS

• The first and the most obvious is as the name says, to stop the car from over revving, this is as simple as three wires. The rev guard has an open circuit which closes to ground and a closed to open circuit. So if you wanted to stop injection you would have the circuit closed and then open to ground.
• The rev guard can also be used for turning off the air conditioner at idle so that the engine doesn't die.
• The rev guard can also be used for activating nitrous at a desired RPM .
• The rev guard can also switch variable cams.

BENEFITS

• Quick and easy to install ( three wires ). Very small and can hidden anywhere under the dashboard.
• Can be set to any rpm desired with a variable potentiometer.
• You can set the rpm limit a number of ways , either by cutting off the fuel, on fuel injected engines. Or the ignition, on carburetor engines, or ignition and injection on injected enginesYou can set the pulsing time to get longer if for instance the vehicle is running on a down hill and the rpm starts to increase so as not to over rev the engine on a down hill.
