Application Note - Displaying Engine Information (AN 2.10)

HOW TO DISPLAY ENGINE INFORMATION SUCH AS RPM, TPS, ENG TEMP

Step 1 : In the Let Ripp Tuning Software, click on the ‘Data Display’ tab, this will only work if the unit is communicating with the software!

Step 2 : The opened window will look like this, the example list is from a SMT8 piggy back, the other products will have a similar list.

Step 3 : Select an item by clicking on the ‘Display Name’ with the mouse pointer, the item should highlight in blue when selected.

Step 4 : There are two sizes to choose from, SN (Small number), LN (Large Number)

The two sizes are:

Step 5 : The Let Ripp software is able to display up to a max of 24 items.

Step 6 : The third option in the list is the Graph (GR). For the graph to work properly you will have to change the high/low scale settings. For example the High Scale for RPM should be changed from the default 5 to a higher value than the max RPM value

Step 7 : The example below shows the rpm of an engine, the short blue lines in across the top and bottom of the graph are 10 second timers. The graph can be ‘Paused’ at any time and a value can be extracted just by clicking on the section of the graph as shown below (RPM = 6321)
