Where should the 7 AMP Amplifier be fitted?

The unit itself is mounted in a heat sink, however it would be advisable not to mount it in a very hot area, if possible inside the cab would be preferable.

 

Can the 7 AMP ignition amplifier be wired to invert the incoming signal to drive a coil?

Yes, the silver amplifier has 4 wires, red green, yellow and black. Where red is signal input, yellow is teed onto black, which is ground, green is the signal to the coil.

How do I wire the 7 AMP ignition amplifier to control the injectors?

The silver amplifier has 4 wires, red, green, yellow and black. Where red is switched 12 volts, green is the signal wire connected to the injector, yellow is the signal from the Perfect Power unit and black is ground.

 

Why do I need to use this amplifier with my XMS system when my injectors are low impedance?

The XMS has 3 amp injector drivers, if you wire the XMS directly to you low impedance injectors you may damage your XMS.
