BGW (BLACK, GREY, WHITE) INTRODUCTION (APPLICABLE TO DEALER VERSION ONLY)

The LetRipp “D” software has the ability to restrict the functionality of the unit into three states, firstly tune maps/sites that can be modified, this is called “Black”, secondly the tune maps/sites are visible but cannot be modified, this is called “Grey” and thirdly none of the tune maps/sites are visible, this is called “White”.

Level 3 Access is only accessible by a password and allows access to all the functions of the unit. It is the only access level that can modify the “Black, Grey, and White (BGW)” settings in the unit, with regards to setting up the level 2 and level 1 BGW Level 2 Access BGW is set up by the Level 3 Access level to only allow certain maps or data display values to be visible. It is accessible by a password in the event that the BGW has been setup differently for this level 2 than level 1. The same procedure is used when gaining access for the Level 3 Access level. Level 1 Access is also setup by the Level 3 Access level to only allow certain maps or data display values to be visible.

BRANDING THE UNIT

LetRipp II Windows Tuning Software - Level 1 Access

When the software is first opened and a new unit is plugged in, it opens in the “Level 1 Access Level”. To brand the unit with the “D” software all that is required is to perform a download.

LetRipp II Windows Tuning Software - Branding The Unit

Once that has been done the unit is now branded with the Dealer details from the LetRipp “D” Software. The unit will now only be accessible by this software. If for some reason the unit is plugged into the public or any other dealer version of LetRipp Software then the following window will be displayed:
